What kind of bathing suit to wear under a wet suit (im a girl)?

Hi I'm going to be going swimming in water that is about 50 deg soon and am going to be wearing a wet suit, i was wondering what kind of bathing suit i should wear like a 1-piece, or bikini is one going to keep me warmer then the other ? or is one going to be more comfy then the other ?

thanks! What kind of bathing suit to wear under a wet suit (im a girl)?
Well im a guy and i swam a mile swim in the ocean last year. I saw a lot girls wearing once pieces and sliding the wetsuite over that so i would say go with the one peace. Proboly more comfortable, warm, and it would make it easy for you to open and close your wetsuite. What kind of bathing suit to wear under a wet suit (im a girl)?
I'm a guy and I wear a one piece knee-suit like this....

http://www.swimshop.co.uk/recno/8/produc鈥?/a>

it gives a bit extra warmth and protection from rash off the wetsuit neoprene material
Don't think either choice will keep you warmer or not, the wet suit has to take care of that.

Comfortability, you would have to test that.

At what age do you stop bathing your boy & girl toddlers together?

I agree that it depends on the children. However, bath time can be a really useful one to one time once children start school - they may choose this time to confide in you or just chat, because they feel safe and relaxed. So maybe it is good from this point of view to occasionally spend this time with your bigger child on their own.At what age do you stop bathing your boy %26amp; girl toddlers together?
I would say it's probably fine up until about 4-5 or until they start to notice the difference. At what age do you stop bathing your boy %26amp; girl toddlers together?
like 4 or 5 i remeber bathing with my mom and sister and its horrible ugh. lmfao. beieve you dont wanna remeber these things. the earlier the better
I am on the other side of this question because if they are brother and sister and they are bathing together whats the big deal? Let them go as long as they want. Its not what we think its what they think! It won't be a big deal if you don't make it one.My girlfriends kids still take baths together and she is 8 and he is 5 and they don't even care or know to care. I say when they ask then change the routine!
I would think age 3 is a good cut off. I used to babysit kids, though, who were 4b, 6g, and 8b, and their mother bathed them all together. That's a bit old in my opinion. It all depends, though. Like, if the older is 4 and bathing with a 2 year old, I don't see anything wrong with that. But 3 is probably generally a good age to go with separate baths, and maybe even try to introduce showers.

Good luck!
I'd say about 4 or 5. That's the age they're starting to be curious about the opposite sex and then they should be separated. At 2 or 3 they start to realise that little girls and little boys are not quite the same, and that's cute, but after 5 it's not so cute anymore and I think it's time to begin bathing them separately.
At 65... They still bath together but I dont bath them anymore.
well if you are asking this question it is probably near ;)

I would say as soon as your mom feelings start to think that it is time !
When one feels shy or if they start trying to touch each other's privates stop bathing them together. Otherwise, let them splash around together, no biggy.
I would stop around about age four or five. or when they start fighting and there is more water on the floor than in the tub!
I guess when the start becoming modest. I would say about 4 or up
Just my opinion I think 3 years old they start asking questions about parts. These kids are smarter today. Ten years ago I would have said 4 years old.
generally, it depends upon the ';nature %26amp; nurture'; environment of the children we are referring to.. but as much as possible, once the kids start to talk, that's the best time for them to bathe apart. but then again, if the family has strong moral values, bathing together is not a problem if the kids are mature enough to be made aware %26amp; feel comfortable of their own separate %26amp; distinct sexuality.
When they are 4 that is what I plan on doing except my 3 kids under 3 bathe it together is easier
I think that when they start realizing that they are different, which is usually around 3 or 4 years old, depending on the child. I work in childcare, and the 3-year-old class does not close the door to use the bathroom, but the 4-year-olds close the door. Some children realize earlier then others, so this would be a good time to separate. Others, it is not until 4-years of age that they realize.
Haha I remember having a bath with my little sister yeeeaaars ago, and she got a razor and shaved her butt haha, not as bad as when I shaved my dry face when I was a little younger...
about 5 years old and start school because you dont want them in school talking about PARTS

Some fat girls laughed at me when I walked by in my bathing suit. Why are people so mean?

I'm so self consious about myself and when I walked by them, they all looked at me and laughed. I even heard one say ';Omg, wow.'; Wtf is wrong with people? I went to the bathroom to see if I had something stuck on me or anything, but no I was fine. If people are going to make fun of people, they should either do it so you can't hear them, or just come up straight in your face and tell you. I wanted to yell at those stupid girls and tell them that at least I can find a bathing suit my size!!!!Some fat girls laughed at me when I walked by in my bathing suit. Why are people so mean?
people put other people down to make themselves feel better

my one friend had that happen to her and she is the most beautiful girl...but people think if they put someone down that that makes them better somehow.

I had stuff like this happen to me not so much since i've left high school and i know no matter what people say that comment is going to bother you because it's harder to believe the bad then the good but just know that people don't really say things like that to people who are really fat and people don't go up to ugly people and say their ugly

it's just the ones that they think has to much going for them that they feel the need to bring downSome fat girls laughed at me when I walked by in my bathing suit. Why are people so mean?
Jealousy. The more people hate someone else and can be mean to them, makes them feel better about themselves. we see it all the time. people just love to hate. If a fat girl can laugh at another girl in a bikini or something like that its like, hey I feel better about myself.

Usually its a girl thinks another girl is better looking than her so its ohhhh shes a slut or i bet shes a skank or oh shes fat, when its not true, it just makes them feel better about themselves to think that there is something wrong with you
don't worry about it.

hahaaha if they were fat me and my friends probably laughed at them.

and we probably looked goofy when we did it so someone else probably laughed at us. Its a never ending vicous cycle but whatever. you should of pointed at there cellulite and went muahahaha.
they are only making fun of you because they are upset with your own body. Don't feel bad, if you feel good in a bathing suit, own it, others opinions shouldn't matter, i know that sounds hard to do, but if you do it you will feel a ton better!
They want to feel better about their insecurities, so they make fun of people who have no problems with themselves.

Self-Consciousness is a scary, deranged, and twisted thing.
you remember all those guys you allowed into your bedroom; they have fat sisters.
They were so jealous they had to laugh to keep from crying.
why would they do that, those people should go to hell, I would love to see you in a bathing suit
BECAUSE THEY ARE PEOPLE !
they are just jealous
can i get a pic of u in you bathing suit. () : )
WoW...you are looking so great!!

I don't get it...

Wanna show me your outfit?

-R
It's so insane these days. They're just trying to make themselves feel better. Guess it doesn't matter whether they were fat or thin or what, when people are in bathing suits, it always turns into a judging session. None of my family is perfectly thin and I've often heard stories from my mum that when she and my sister have gone to a pool over the years there's been some really stuck up, glamourous mother with her clone daughter sunning themselves on the side of the pool, staring at them and whispering. It is an extremely rare thing for me to put on a bathing suit. I have not gone to a public pool in years. At the beach, I don't even wear proper shorts because I am self conscious about my legs. I usually wear three quarter length jeans or shorts or actual jeans and a t shirt and just wade around in the water. At motel pools, I only go if no one else is using the pool. If someone else comes I can relax if I see that they're just going about their business, but if I see a couple of girls or even guys who have much better bodies I unfortunately assume that they will laugh at me and I am out of there.
girls can be such b!tches to each other...it's unbelievable...

it's because the fat girls are self-concious, they're unsatisfied with their lives and their bodies and to make themselves feel better, they make fun of other people. it's kind of really pathetic. don't even worry about them, and next time it happens just look them in the eye and smile. let them know they can say anything about you that they want, and it won't bother you because you're comfortable with who you are and how you look. you gotta have self pride and you can't let stupid people get you down. :)
They are gay and want to sleep with you.

What is the difference between a bathing girl and praying girl?

A praying girl gets holy water, and a bathing girl gets water in the holy. What is the difference between a bathing girl and praying girl?
Nothing, they are both cleansing their soul. What is the difference between a bathing girl and praying girl?
well a bathing is cleaning and a praying girl is bowing to the lord so there is a lil difference but their both cleaning there souls

Why does our society view a girl in a bathing suit as being somehow different then a girl in her panties?

most girls would never go around in public wearing just the bra and panties they wouldnt want just anybody to see them with such revealing clothing on but then the same girls will have absolutely no issue with runnin around in a bathing suit or bikini which in alot of cases shows more then underwear would. what makes it different to you? your showing the same stuff. Why does our society view a girl in a bathing suit as being somehow different then a girl in her panties?
I think society does view them the same, even though we say different things about them. When you see two Internet ads, one with a girl in panties and one with a girl in a bikini, what's different about them? Nothing at all. The message is the same. And when a (pretty) girl in a bikini walks by, even at the beach or pool, doesn't she get the same glances from men that she'd get if she was just wearing her underwear? Don't men have the same challenge not to stare as they would in the other case?

So, we see them the same, but we choose to lie about it in public, and say one is ';o.k.'; and the other isn't, because... oh, I don't know... we're a race of liars. Either they're both o.k., or neither of them is. I agree with your opinion. Why does our society view a girl in a bathing suit as being somehow different then a girl in her panties?
I don't know good point.
I thin it is just the way society is. it is a taboo to be seen in your underwear, but it is okay to be seen in a two piece bikini. What is the difference? they both cover the same thing.
I have often wondered this myself. It just depends on the situation. When I was in 1st grade I remember a girl being sent home for coming to school in her swim suit. That's just bad parenting.
Panties are thinner. And a girl in a bikini just means she's ready for a swim or a tan. A girl in her panties and bra means she's ready for action.
I don't know. I've pondered this before. I remember one time I was out in my front yard, spraying down patio furniture in my bra and underwear, and a neighbor's car drove by. I remember getting all embarrassed, hoping it looked like I was wearing a mismatched bikini from the road. To this day, I still don't understand why I reacted the way I did. If it weren't for material or water-proofiness, the two would be interchangable, wouldn't they? I mena guys wear boxer shorts as swim trunks all the time, right?
Interesting isn't it? Same thing: if a guy was at a beach, being shirtless would be perfectly natural, but if he shows up to the office shirtless it's a scandal. The psychology of different contexts, I suppose.
I always wondered about that too. But I'm not complaining, mind you!

: ^ )
Although it is weird...knowing is what makes the difference. People see things in their minds eye. They see underwear they think indecent exposure. They see bathing suit they think swimwear. It's in our heads, it's been programmed. Plus, most underwear, when wet, shows what's underneath pretty clearly.
You are right, they could run around naked, wouldn't bother me any. The problem is the ones who shouldn't are the first to go topless, the ones you would like to see, usually don't.

Do young guys care a lot about girls having a perfect body? like in a bathing suit?

I'm going camping with friends, and the guy I like (and Im sure he likes me) will be there. I look good in cloths, but I've lost 50 pounds over the last 4 years, and I have some stretch marks, and of course the normal cellulite on the back on my thighs.

I have big boobs, but they have gotten small tiny little marks in them where they deflated a little, but other then that they are still big round, and perky mostly.

When a girl has a baby, does the doctor give him a bath right before handing it to the mother cause it came?

from the inside of the vagina!!When a girl has a baby, does the doctor give him a bath right before handing it to the mother cause it came?
they wipe it off for the time being

    tard

it is bathed a short time after

its life, its not gross, grow upWhen a girl has a baby, does the doctor give him a bath right before handing it to the mother cause it came?
YES BABY IS CLEAN BY NURSE ECT.
Yes the nurses normally does it
yes they wipe the baby down with a damp cloth before handing the bundle of joy to the mother.then once the baby is in the nursey and fed they usually give the baby a bath or they wheel the baby and all the cleaning goods into the mothers room and teach her how to do it.
the baby gets wiped off real quick, and then wrapped up so it will not get cold. then it is given to the mom.
hell no,no washing just a quick wipe with a towel.

Did you never see in a film or at ER?
No, they just wipe off the baby.
they actually ring the baby out. not very many people know that, but that's what they do.
Modern day birthing techniques have changed the way things are being done after the birth of a child. from first hand experience when our daughter was born she was placed straight onto my chest for better bonding and for baby to be able to smell you so they know from birth who you are. Our daughter was not given a bath until 24 hours later as the midwives believe that baby's skin is sensitive and has been in liquid for at least nine months so it is not necessary to bath the baby straight away. It is better for the baby to have first contact with mum.
A baby is born with a cheesy substance on it's body that is cleaned off by a nurse after delivery.

    I've had a baby, I know...
No not usually, they pull the baby out and put him/her on your belly while who ever cuts the cord, when the water breaks it cleans naturally my kids when they were born they had a thick sticky white stuff on them and the Mid wife would rub the stuff in to the skin, or have me do it. its not as gross as you think. promise.
The baby is bloody from all the birthing fluids. It is slippery and wet like a fish and hard to hold right away, and the baby is cold from being exposed to the sudden temperature change.

I have A 4yr old girl that about to be 5 in a couple of weeks She dosen't like to take baths or brush her hair?

She does not what me to do any thing for her. Is this normal for this age.I have A 4yr old girl that about to be 5 in a couple of weeks She dosen't like to take baths or brush her hair?
It's probably typical. My 3 year-old never wanted to get his hair washed until about a month ago.

That's when I found a small dead spider and made it ';magically'; appear in his hair, therefore proving to him how dirty it was!!!

He has since been very keen to wash behind his ears and everywhere else!I have A 4yr old girl that about to be 5 in a couple of weeks She dosen't like to take baths or brush her hair?
    There are two issues here.

1.Bathing and hair brushing - you are the boss. Give in over these and you are asking for big trouble as she grows up!!!

    2. ';Doesn't want me to do anything for her'; This is a stage and letting her be independant is a good thing. Making her own decisions about cleanliness and grooming are not.
Tell her if she doesn't take a bath plants will start to grow out of her skin and her hair will all fall out. (Read the Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books)
My son did this when he was about this age. I told him he would smell bad and no one would want to sit by him. He was very social so I never heard that again. Try it.
Sounds typical.Try to make the bath fun put some toys in there and maybe get special things to make the water colorful or sumthen
you should get her some kind of toy to play with while she is bathing.
dump her in the tub and FORCE her to bathe...that is utterly disgusting
sounds like a typical 4/5 yr old that is just going through a phase :)

Does anyone remember the name of the movie where the girl makes an elderly man take a bath in onions?

This movie trivia question is bugging me. People here on Yahoo! Q %26amp; A have asked this question a few times now and I have yet to read the correct answer or find the answer myself. The plot of the movie is something like this: Set in the country, a girl is left to raise her younger brother and sister alone after their parents die. The siblings conceal the fact that the parents are deceased from the public. At some point in the movie, the oldest girl gives a man a bath in onions. Any idea as to what movie this could be?Does anyone remember the name of the movie where the girl makes an elderly man take a bath in onions?
    Where the Lilies Bloom (1974)

starring Julie Gholson, Jan Smithers (Bailey of ';WKRP in Cincinatti';), Matthew Burrill, Helen Harmon, Sudie Bond, Rance Howard (Ron and Clint Howard's father), Alice Beardsley, Harry Dean Stanton

    From DVDsClassics.com:

    Based on the Newbery Award-winning book by Vera and Bill Cleaver and adapted by Earl Hamner, Jr. (television's ';The Waltons';), ';Where the Lilies Bloom'; tells the story of Mary Call Luther, who lives happily with her father and three siblings in the remote Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Her idyllic childhood ends abruptly when her father dies. Though she is the second eldest, responsible and resourceful Mary Call emerges as the head of the family, determined to do what she must to fulfill her deathbed promise to her father to keep the orphans together. To earn their living, the children learn the art of gathering and preparing medicinal herbs, known as ';wildcrafting.';

    It's available on VHS here:

I found it on DVD here:

    http://www.dvdsclassic.com/where-the-lil鈥?/a>

At least it's available in both formats, which surprises me as it's rather an obscure film that hasn't been aired on network television or movie channels, at least none in this region.

I think that Netflix might have it, too:

If I recall, the man receiving the onion treatment is Harry Dean Stanton as Kiser Pease. I haven't seen the film since the Seventies, so my memories are rather hazy.

Does it make you sick/jealous to look at other girls who are beautiful in a bathing suite?

I know it takes time to lose baby weight, but since I've had my baby 7 months ago, %26amp; now its almost summer, I want to look good again in a two piece. I hate sometimes looking at other women in bikini's after having a baby, %26amp; they look like they didn't even have a baby.

GRRHhh, so stressful trying to lose this weight!

Some days I'm pumped about doing a few exercises, but a lot of times I'm too tired or lazy to do anything by time I get off work!

Is this how you feel sometimes? Please help me with some advise to actually get myself motivated! How did you lose your weight?

Thanks %26amp; god bless!Does it make you sick/jealous to look at other girls who are beautiful in a bathing suite?
Sometimes I feel that way. But then I remind myself that those girls are probably 12 year olds that have way too much make up on or girls that don't eat on a daily basis. Don't worry though. Every normal woman feels that way at one point or another. It's a normal feeling especially when we are constantly bombarded with ';loose more weight!'; ads.

Did you know that only 15% of Americans look like those girls? The rest of us (the normal ones) we have curves. We have imperfections that make us unique. We don't all look like 12 year old girls. We look like women!

As far as getting motivated. Buy a bathing suit you find pretty. Hang it up and let that be your motivation. Make sure it's a reasonable size to achieve (if you're a size 15, don't choose a size 5, which is too skinny anyhow in my opinion). I'm a size 13 and I'd love to be a size 10 again. So far I'm just eating more fruits and vegetables and drinking V8 Fusion and getting up and moving. So far, I've lost 5 lbs in two weeks. Just keep in mind that 1-2 lbs a week is the healthy way to loose weight.Does it make you sick/jealous to look at other girls who are beautiful in a bathing suite?
I did after I had my son,It took me awhile to lose all the weight I had gained. After I had my daughter I lost weight rapidly so now I am one of those woman you are talking about.I have been on both sides of this.I did nothing to lose weight it just eventually came off.I have a high metabolism so I think that played a part in it.Try not to think about it so what if you have some weight on you.
Not really, I'll get a pang of jealousy every now and then though. It actually gets me more motivated to get back into that good of shape!!

6 months pp, I still have to lose about 10 lbs. and my tummy is still a bit mushy. So I have a gym membership. And that's actually my main motivation right there! I'm paying for a gym membership so I might as well get some use out of it lol
I am a proud bikini wearer. Not to rub it in. I didn't do anything to loose the weight. I go for stroller walks and stuff and watch my portions. I always say ';I would rather take an extra serving of vegetables, than one of potato's and gravy'; Much healthier of a choice when you still feel hungry.

Just watch what you eat and get yourself into the mind set that you WILL be working out when you come home. Put your little on in the stroller and go for a power walk. Good luck on that loss girl!!!
honestly, no, I have never felt that way. I am comfortable with my body, and have no issues with looking like I have kids, since I do. I would rather be myself, and be happy with who i am, rather than killing myself to fit some media ideal of not ever looking like i have had kids
    Yes.

It would make me jealous if I was in your situation but i bet as once as you loose the baby fat they will be jealous of you!
No, I don't feel that way at all. I accept my body, warts and all.

    All the best.
No, it doesn't at all bother me. I don't go around hating on other people. I gained about 80lbs during my pregnancy. My daughter is 6mo old now and I still have about 20lbs or so to lose. But, it doesn't make me jealous even in a joking way to see other moms who only gained a few pounds or lost all their baby weight. My personal goal is to be the same size I was before I got pregnant- which wasn't necessarily small (size 7).

The way I motivate myself is to pin pictures of my pre-pregnant self on a wall in my bedroom. Every day when I get off work, I work out for about 20 minutes or so. That way, I still have time to play with/bathe/feed my daughter and get a decent work out in. I've only lost about 5 or 6 lbs but I notice the difference around my stomach area. Seeing results is my motivation.
I have a 1-month-old and I already look great in two piece, just like before. During pregnancy, I didn't eat any excessive food, just when I was hungry but not when I had nothing else to do with my mouth. I creamed my belly (and my butt) with oils, so that no stretch marks occur. I did a lot of exercise. When I gave birth (naturally), I continued living normal and breastfeeding and now my belly and my whole body is just like before and I can wear a two piece 6 weeks after I gave birth :-)

All my relatives are slim and I never eat in McDonald's.
I used to not like my body very much. I've never really been super slim and I carry most of my weight around my belly, back and upper arms. I also used to have a very bad self-hurting habit which has left me with allot of scars on my arms and chest and I have very pasty skin. But since my life has gotten a bit happier in other areas I haven't really bothered to think about my body much. I am also a bit slimmer than I used to be and I have gone down to a healthy size 12. My body isn't exactly good enough for page 3, but I can live with that as I know that I am healthy and I have things in my life now that make me happy . I'm only 14 weeks pregnant now and I have started to show a bit of a bump, but I am very grateful to have a baby on the way and I feel that there are things much more important than the weight I will put on through pregnancy. Being slim and beautiful is not as much of a gift as having a wonderful baby. There are slim and beautiful women who will always have nice figures but they will never be happy and have what you have. I know that it's hard to look at it that way... I remember feeling sick with jealousy when I saw attractive girls as I did actually have a figure like a 40 year old woman and I must have been only around 17,18,19. When I was that age I was around 12st 7lbs and I am only 5'3, so I know how you feel. But I also wasn't blessed with a baby then or a lovely partner, like I have now.

Breastfeeding your baby is a great way to lose weight. People say that people should breastfeed up until six months, but I'm going to try and stick with it for a little while longer as I have heard that in the first 1 or 2 years of a baby's life breastfeeding provides many health benefits. It also burns allot of calories. You could also try moderate exercise, like walking for an hour a day. A good thing to do if you are not breastfeeding is to cut out calorific foods and lower carbs for six months and stick to a diet of no more than 1,500 calories a day.

Remember that some women do have it all, but those are usually the ones that concentrate on being slim and not eating naughty foods to excess.

But remember, you have been blessed with a baby and that's the biggest gift of all.
Not at all. my solution is to wear a suit that looks good on *me*....not someone else.

    Find one that works for your new shape. Here's a sampling of what have;

My problem area is my bottom half, but I have a great top half. The solution is I wear a tankini suit that shows off my great arms and waist, but covers my flabby butt and thighs.

Find what works fo you and be happy with it.;-)

    Good luck!!
You need to buy a bikini and hang it where you can see it everyday. I did this after havig my first and it helped me realize I'm gonna have to put that thing on one day!

Keep yourself accountable by keeping a food journal. Write down everything. Drink a glass of water before you eat and a glass during to keep you full on water and not overeat. Only eat fruits or yogurt for your snacks.

You don't have to go all out, I';m assuming you only have a few pounds to lose, go walking with the baby. I find when my baby is with me it's easier to do the exercise, like walking outside, doing outside squats where I can still see her.

For me it was toning and I did this by running and doing weights at home. Just make it part of your routine and stick with it. Just like you wash your dishes everyday, working out should be part of your daily activities. Don't do diet pills or a crash diet, they don't work and you're gonna end up worse off than you are now.
No, because I can, I just choose not to, I think it's wrong to wear a bikini, I'm married not single, you can look just as good with a one piece. Besides I've seen moms that don't belong in bikinis wearing them, I'm just like whatever.

  • I can not get my 5 year old girl to go # 2 in the bath room?

she will go hide some were or if you see her she will say she is not done. I will tell her to get in the bathroom and she will not go in there. I have told her i will get her what ever she wants . I have tried taking away something nothing seems to workI can not get my 5 year old girl to go # 2 in the bath room?
Have you sat down when it is not a time she needs to go potty and talk calmly with her? Find out WHY she has problems with it?

Something is likely troubling her and little kids don't always know how to put it into words. She may be afraid of something. Kids do not view the world like we do. Here's an example:

When my daughter was 4 yrs old and ill, she needed a chest x-ray. She asked me what they would do and I told her they would just take a picture of her lungs inside to see if they were ok.

Well, when we tried to get the x-ray, she would not cooperate and screamed and cried. We had to put her on a horse kinda thing they had that held her arms upward so they could get the chest x-ray.

Later, when she calmed down, I asked her why she was so afraid. She told me that she thought they were going to cut her open to get a picture of her lungs!

No wonder she was terrified! I would have been scared too! LOL

I suggest you work on finding out why she won't go in the toilet and you may be able to work with her on resolving her fears.

    Best Wishes,

SueI can not get my 5 year old girl to go # 2 in the bath room?
have u tried being nice and being mean
I agree with you a 5 yr. old is too old to not be completely potty trained. Since she is old enough for you to carry a conversation with her I would try to find out why she is scared of the toilet, and then reason with her. Also, talk with her pediatrician concerning this problem. I know there is a book out there called everybody poops that is recommended for toilet training.
take her to the doctor this could be stress or even worst signs of sexual abuse
common problem. Painful experiences in the past can make a child force themselves not to go. Of course it doesn't help the problem just creates another.

With my child and several others I know, we used a product which I can't remember the name of, but it was not a laxative. It contained mineral oil which eases elimination and when they have to 'go' they can't hold it back. After a while they no longer need it. The fear will be gone.

Talk to a pharmacist about the problem. I'm sure they can point you in the right direction.
5 years! You've kept up the sharades too long. Let her know it's not an option. When it's time to go, take her to the potty and stay with her until she does.
My son has been wearing underwear since he was 2 years old and completely potty trained before he turned 3. He is now 4 years old and some odd way or another loves when he goes #2. First of all he knows that when it is out, he feels better. He has three requirements and gets that from his stepfather. No one can be in the bathroom with him. He has to be alone. You can come in and set everything up, do what you have to do, and get out.He has to have his potty seat which is portable. You just sit it on top of the regular seat.( he is still little) Soft cushioned. He has to have one of his learning books so that he can read(gets his mind off it and can concentrate better). When he is finished, he calls yo to come check and make sure that he has wiped himself off good. After every #2 i wash him off back there ( I cant stand for a child to have a smell on them.)

My 1 and a half girl did a poop in the bath and..?

My 1 and a half year old daughter named Aly (Not her name, her nickname%26gt;;]) last week did a poop in her bath I took her out , emptied it then the next night she kept pointing in the water saying ''poopey, mummy poopey'' she would try and ''crawl away from the poop'' it's like she thinks it's chasing her. 2 days later I became aware of what was happening and I put her in a chair and made her watch me clean our bathtub trying to reassure her it was gone. That night she still continued it so I pretended to grab it with toilet paper, put it in our toilet, flushed it and told her it was all gone. Still she is still sure the ''poop'' is in there. I dont know what to do, I'm upset that she is going through this, I want to help her! Please suggest some ideas it would mean so much!!! My 1 and a half girl did a poop in the bath and..?
i would let her see me relaxing in a lovely bubble bath, she may then want to join you?

My 1 and a half girl did a poop in the bath and..?
aww...i would consult with her doctor next time you visit...

until then next time she poops in her diaper show her poopy diaper to her, then take her outside with you while you throw away the poopy diaper and say something like poopy gone or bye bye poop or something like that

i hope she gets over that soon :(
she is probably still stuck on it because she didnt like that she did it maybe when she goes in her diaper again show her that poop and then say see its not in the tub anymore its right here and then have her throw it in the trash her-self and see how that works

I cant believe what i am reading, r u all crazy? do u remember the girl snatch while she was having a bath?

u cant look after your children 24/7, what about sarah payne then? every child being taken was left alone at certain point, all those sick people need is one minute to take a child, madeline family is going trough a nightmare if it happen to me i want to be put a sleep until they find my child else let me die, i know i'd be a coward, i cant believe u r calling the Madeline parent discusting, no one would be able to have a life if we take the precaution u r suggesting, not even be able to go out of the door, the children were a sleep inside a flat, and they were checked regularly, IN A FLAT, not on the street, what were they suppost to do? watching them while they were a sleep, in the same room? because even if they were in the room next door, somebody could have snatch Madeline anyway, again remember the girl in the bath.I cant believe what i am reading, r u all crazy? do u remember the girl snatch while she was having a bath?
If they had been asleep in the next room, the chances are the french doors would be locked, the fact is, they were 50 yards away in a tapas bar, with no view of the unlocked french doors!

The case of the girl in the bath goes to show how easy it is for a child to be taken from under your nose, let alone the other side of the pool on dark night in a public place!I cant believe what i am reading, r u all crazy? do u remember the girl snatch while she was having a bath?
i quote.............if it happen to me i want to be put a sleep until they find my child else let me die,

now have they ever look as if they are having that thought?
u sound like one of the mccann family backing them up ....i guess u see no wrong in leaving vulnerable children alone ?
    Welcome Littlest,

    MCCANN (AND ALL THAT JAZZ)

    1. Great question - which needed to be asked.

    2. Eden has saved me much typing: thoroughly endorse his/her views so lucidly expounded.

Try to stay out of trouble,

    EdHern

    Hern! Hern! Hern!
actually i can see where your comong from, but myself i would never have left my kids on their own, but at the same time everyone makes mistakes and they are paying a high price, but i dont think there is any need for people to be so nasty to them they are suffering enough, grieving is a terrible thing to have to go through, and these parents are grieving, and i for one feel so sorry for them and hope to god they get their little girl back.
There's a rant if ever I seen one.

Yes, I remember the case of that poor little girl been taken from the bath and yes, I am aware of other 'adbuction' cases and all it takes is for the parent to drop their gaurd for a second.

The McCanns didn't drop their gaurd. They made a concious decision to put their desire to have a meal without the kids over the needs of their children. Children need to be protected and supervised. Have you SEEN the picture detailing the resturant and their apartment? It wasn't next door or even across the road, it was over bushes, a pool and terraces and even round the corner.

There is a huge difference between dropping your gaurd and actually calculating the risk in something and getting it so so so wrong.

Don't compare the two, it is insulting to the other caring parents.
Might I remind you that it is not against the law to leave your child in a separate room whilst you are in the same house [unless you have the child chained up, malnourished and beaten!].

There is a marked difference between a child being abducted from a house in which you are present and a child being abducted from a property because you have decided to p*** off to go for afternoon tea!!

    Two suggestions:

    1) Go away, buy a yellow ribbon and sing your sob story elsewhere preferably on the McCann website.

    2) Go back to school to learn some grammar. If your post is indicative of the support which the McCanns are getting, then they really are in for some very long months ahead!!

ADDITIONAL - Why an earth would I want to write in Italian... ?? Not exactly a world language is it!!!! I can write in French and I think that is a far more worthy endeavour thank you very much!!!
get a life doll, remember there were 3 kids in that flat and 2 were 2 year old? and you think its ok to leave them alone in a flat, well my god hope you never have kids or if you do my heart goes out to them!!!!
You've got a point, BUT, if this couple had been working class, left their kids to go for a pint or two

A The media would have crucified them

B They would be awaiting trial
    Excuse em moi....

You are taking a proportion of extreme cases and comparing them to another extreme...

This is like comparing a chip pan fire to arson.

One does not justify the other and we dont say the cause was fire ...

Look at each case on their own merits and not anyone elses...

In this case prosecutors will have to look at the abductor but need to look at the parents or else this case will certainly happen again...

When we critices the McCanns its because we are saying for most folk this case does not happen when the parents are around... and society norm whatever Gerry says is not to leave your kids at home at night whilse you go out for dinner..

If the norm was that all parents pick up children from school because of a curfew and a child went missing and it was bceause the child walked home alone her parents would be blamed....

Obviously we cannot compare this case to Sarah Payne or the child abducted from the bath.... because nobody expects somebody to come into your home and take a small child away.... and that Sarah PAyne was abducted because she left her friends walked home and picked up by a known peodo in the area...
    what are you talking about??
You've really answered your own argument. I read about the little girl in the bath and various other such cases that happened despite the fact that parents were around. This very fact should make parents even more vigilant not less. To leave children all alone is a risk too far that nobody with any sense would ever take. Maybe the McCanns have never read a newspaper in their lives so don't know about these dangers.

Well said Eden! You won't get Best Answer but your logic is impeccable!
Oh, so it's all of US who are crazy is it? Well let me tell you, until such times as you can communicate your ideas in proper English, using REAL words and not text-speak, and then spelling quite easy words properly AND using the correct punctuation, I'll ignore the fact that you're accusing ME of being crazy. We all know the stories of the missing children and many of us are rather fed up with hearing so much about the McCann case and so little about all the others so we don't need YOU coming on here to insult us all ! ! !
littlestar, you obviously are not English, but in England there are laws that govern how children must be looked after. In the view of a lot of people, probably the majority, the McCanns were, at least, very close to breaking those laws
even if we all suddenly get a clout on the head and start thinking that leaving three small babies alone in an unlocked room for hours on end is fine, and let's all do it, because after all, doctor's can so therefore it must be fine.

Even if we all start thinking like that.....

It beggars belief that these stupid parents have allowed this to turn into the media circus it has become. I was alone in my group of friends in my contempt for the McCann's at the start of the week, but having seen the interviews, the planned outing to Fatima, the blogs, the jogs, the cover of hello magazine. Having learned about the company fund and having heard Mr McCann saying they plan to tour and they don't plan to hire any PI's, one by one staunch supporters of them in my circle have gradually become weary and tired of this couple parading around like the new celebrity, kissing people's babies, walking over the flowers people throw in their path.

Their constant criticism of the Portuguese police who are doing theri best in what has not been the easiest investigation given that the parents lied about various things such as how often they checkedon the children, whether the room was locked or otherwise, whether the shutters were tampered with. One by one people who wanted to believe them and wanted to support them have had enough.

So yes, let's all suppose now that they've set the precedent and the world has gone mad and decided it's perfectly fine and a good idea to go feed your bellies and leave three babies alone, I still have issues with them about how they're conducting themselves. How they're asking for money to fund a tour, how there's barely a mention of their daughter on their website, it's all about them, them, them, them and their family. How he picks and chooses what question he will and won't answer.

The aggressive e-mails their family send sout to anyone asking pertinent questions.

They're not helping themselves, they're losing support by the day and they have no-one but themselves to blame.

Perhaps all parents do make 'mistakes' I'm sure most of us when having had a 'mistake' pointed out, do our utmost to rectify it and ensure we don't do it again.

The McCann's with each new day just keep on adding to the giant ball of Karma they have headed towards them at some point

    Grrrrrrr ...
It is wrong to compare other situations of different children. We are obviously very annoyed of what the McCanns did and nothing will change our minds.
If this child had been taken from the room next door then the parents couldn't have been blamed because they would have been taking every precaution but going down the road for a meal and leaving 3 young children alone in an unlocked flat does not constitute taking every precaution. They were down right negligent and now must face the consequences. They are 100% to blame for what has happened.
Sorry Littlestar but if you can't mind your children '24/7' as you put it, make sure you pay for somebody to, because you can never take your eyes off them, especially when travelling abroad. We either took my mother with us or my sis-in-law. free holiday for them for a bit of baby-sitting, %26amp; total peace of mind for us
It is moronic to suggest that doing what they did is equivalent to what happened in the case of the girl in the bath. What a pathetic argument. They were morally and probably legally guilty of child abandonment and perhaps neglect. The VAST majority of parents do not consider this to be reasonable behaviour.

Try this: If you are a good parent, you simply do NOT take stupid, totally uneccessary risks with your children for the tiny benefit of a meal out! IT IS NOT WORTH IT! NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD SAY THAT IT IS!!!!!!

I give up, we're still banging our heads on a brick wall here folks, some people just do not have decent standards of behaviour.
I wouldnt leave my kids in a flat or anywhere else - period. I feel sorry for the family though not angry at them. We dont even know she was snatched from the flat anyway. More likely she woke up alone and wondered off and was snatched then.
    well said sister.
Lets put it in simple terms for you. Who's putting their child at risk. The people who stay in with their children? or the people who leave their kids alone? Is that simple enough!

Have you got kids? because for a person to make such ridiculous comments i can't believe you have.
it does not matter how much we debate over this whole issue.

the fundamental fact, that stares everyone in the face is that they left THREE YOUNG CHILDREN alone in a flat/villa/house while they went for a meal. what horrifies me, is that the twins are 18 months old and they LEFT them???

    two doctors?

if i went into their surgery, left my two young boys asleep in their pushchair and disappeared over the road for a meal, for 1/2 hour, then what...............how long would they wait to report me?

they could have easily used the babysitting service available but in their wisdom (?) they chose to leave the children ON THEIR OWN!!!!

silly, stupid, irresponsible people. there are absolutely NO excuses for what happened and I'm sorry to say but had they have been in the flat then maybe whoever took Madelaine may have thought it too much of a risk!!

something is not right about this whole thing! i don't know what but somethings just don't add up!
These 2 left their children unattended, unprotected and vunerable to tradgedys such as this one. there was a baby sitting sevice which they never used. how many times before this had these 2 left their children ';home alone'; what they did was a crime. there is a huge difference between nipping to get the child a towel after a bath, and abandoning 3 children under the age of 4 to fill their bellys and get drunk. they should have been there to protect their children,END OF STORY!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK THAT POOR LITTLE GIRL IS SUFFERING,NEVER MIND TWO IRRISPONSIBLE PEOPLE THAT THINK THEY HAVE THE RIGHT TO CALL THEMSELVES PARENTS. I HAVE NEVER AND WILL NEVER LEAVE MY YOUNG CHILDREN TO FEND FOR THEMSELVES. WE CANT BE THERE 24/7,BUT WE CAN DO WHAT WE HAVE TO DO, AS PARENTS, TO KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE FROM THE SICK AND TWISTED PERVERTS THAT ARE OUT THERE. I AM A VICTIM OF ABUSE,SO I KNOW WHAT SICKOS ARE OUT THERE. IT WAS DONE BY MY OWN FATHER!!! SO PARENTS DONT ALWAYS DO RIGHT BY THERE OWN CHILDREN. THEY LEFT THE FRONT DOOR AJAR,WHAT DID THEY THINK??? ';IT WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO THEM??? THEY SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES FOR PUTTING THEIR CHILDREN AT RISK. THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO BE THERE TO PROTECT THEM AT ALL TIMES. THEY ARE IN THE WRONG,AND THE POOR LITTLE GIRL IS THE ONE WHO IS TRULY PAYING THE PRICE FOR THEIR ACTIONS. SHAME ON YOU. YOU SEEM TO BE VERY NASTY AND BITTER IF YOU ASK ME, AND SICK FOR YOUR COMMENTS ON ABUSE. I DONT WANT YOURS OR ANYONE ELSES SYMPATHY FOR WHAT HAPPENED TO ME. YOU MOCK OTHERS FOR SPELLING WHEN YOU CANT EVEN SPELL YOURSELF. PEOPLE LIKE YOU MAKE ME SICK. IF YOU DIDNT WANT PEOPLES OPINIONS YOU SHOULDNT OF ASKED A QUESTION SHOULD YOU. MAY LIFE BRING YOU WHAT YOU TRULY DESERVE. NASTY PERSON
Of course every child is left alone at some point BUT you dont leave them to go and have a meal. A holiday is family time not couples time.
    So what is your point?
totallly agree these are parents who just wanted to get something to eat and rather than keep their three young kids out late they thought it better to let them sleep somewhere that they believed was safe

i dont thing they would have done the same thing at home there is a psychology to it all perfect surroundings wether etc means idyllic crime free place people act different on holiday you see families with kids of about 5,6 and 7 years of age sending kids back to apartments for suncream etc which they wouldnt do at home or half way down a beach for ice cream which they wouldnt do in a packed town centre

people need to stop attacking these people who are doing all they can to find their daughter does anybody seriously think they want to become celebrities out of this i think they are just being very methodical as educated people and trying to take the right steps to get their daughter home where she belongs

people should focus all their negativity and hate toward the animal/s who have taken madeleine away

p.s i think your english is excellent
Actually there was no sign of a break in or any evidence to suggest that any other person had entered the room a fact reported on Sky News by a flying squad detective so this is why the portugese police have struggled to find the crime scene ......................
I know, I reckon this is all just pure bad luck and could've happened to anyone! I can't stand the way people are criticising that poor family without being there themselves first. Well done.
    Well said !

Great to hear some positive support for this family who are suffering beyond all imagination, yet manage to keep focused on their main goal - to get their daughter back whatever the cost !
you're absolutely right. ive been saying the same as you and i get shot down in flames by the lynch mob. the person who took maddy appears to blameless , he doesnt get a mention because in the eyes of the mob its not his fault. its the McCanns.

Yes.My girl just lost her mucs plug. Can she take a bath?
It is not reccomended to take a bath at this point in pregnancy, one of the reasons being that your girl's water could break while taking bath and she might not even know.
Yes. Loads of babies are born in water, for heavens' sakes. The idea that pregnant, labouring, or postpartum women cannot take tub baths is an old wives' tale. She can bathe even if her water has broken.

    ';Women may develop a fever if submerged too deeply for too long in warm water, but this can be alleviated by lifting more of the body out of the water or getting out of the tub, and infection is not a risk with ruptured membranes. As an experiment using a starch-impregnated tampon and iodine in the water proved, bath water does not enter the vagina.';

Does anyone remember a book about a girl named Tabitha who hates baths?

Her name was Tabitha, she loved to rollerskate but hated baths. Her mother would put presents in the bathtub to lure her in, but it didn't work, so she told Tabitha she didn't have to bathe anymore. Eventually all the dirt and grime from days without bathing built up on Tabitha and she couldn't skate anymore. She learned her lesson and took a bath. Book was from the 1980s, my mom used to read it to me but I can't remember the exact title. Help!Does anyone remember a book about a girl named Tabitha who hates baths?
    The Book is

No Baths for Tabitha (Predictable Reading Books) (Paperback)

by Sharon K. Thomas (Author), Marjorie Siegal (Author), Don Robison (Illustrator)Does anyone remember a book about a girl named Tabitha who hates baths?
Yes, as the person above me said, the book is called ';No Baths for Tabitha'; by Sharon K. Thomas. Unfortunately, this is one of those books that, for some mysterious and inexplicable reason, is extremely valuable on the used book market. I've only ever seen one sell on ebay, and it went for exactly $100.00, and it even had some doodling in it.

    Crazy!

Why are Mormon girls (teenagers) only 'permitted' to wear one piece bathing suits?

NO OFFENSE TO LDS MEMBERS WHATSOEVER, BUT I AM JUST TRYING TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS RELIGION!Why are Mormon girls (teenagers) only 'permitted' to wear one piece bathing suits?
Actually, its is not a Mormon only thing.

It is about modesty. We are Christians and our girls are only allowed to wear one piece suits at camp and in our house its a rule of long standing.

We feel there is no need to show more of our bodies than needed for the particular situation we are in. Two piece suits and some one piece suits just plain make keeping essential items covered very difficult.

Just a little note, even in secular school systems, girls are required to wear one piece suits in gym class and on swim teams. Modesty is not just a religion thing. Why are Mormon girls (teenagers) only 'permitted' to wear one piece bathing suits?
you dont have to be Mormon just to wear one piece bathing suit there are people that are modesty. and don't want to show off everything that they have to the whole world.

The people that are not permitted to get into the pool are the missioners
LDS is a great religeon. First off, 2 peice suits are immodest to us. They atractect the wrong people. Plus, wearing one peices shows more morality and cleanlyness to a person. One peices are more flattering, and you dont have to worry about someone untying the back. Although we don't like to wear 2 pecies, we can wear tankini's. 2 peice swimsuits give women a bad reputation of TRYING to attract dumb men who only look on the outside.
I always find it interesting the Mormons talk about themselves as if they are the only religion that teaches modesty, no premarital sex, that divorce is wrong, adultery is bad.

Especially interesting since I lived in UT for 10 years and KNOW that their lives aren't as puristic as they try to make people believe.
Because if they didn't they might expose their secret mormon underwear.
Most religions preach modesty. Mormon girls are very modest in their dress which is probably why they wouldn't wear a two-piece bathing suit. I'm not Mormon - just taking an educated guess.
i didn't know mormon girls are only permitted to wear one piece bathing suits

i didn't even know they swam..cause i always see them in those light purple dresses
Many people, not just Mormons, have the point of view that the bikini is immodest. Immodest clothes are provocative of lustful thoughts and actions. Clothing which draws attention to the body overemphasizes that aspect of ourselves.
we are not a loud to show bare midrift which is out tummy or somach and we can wear tankinis if it doesnt show our stomac ans its every woman/girl that cant wear bikinis

    if that makes any sense
Probably b/c it shows less skin, therefore promoting sex and promiscuity a LOT LESS than would a bikini...(and it's a whole lot harder to take off than a bikini, so sex would not come as easy...)

I have a 10 month old girl cat. how do i take her a bath. she has fleas?

You don't have to bath her, just get her some Frontline treatment, since that repells them, and if she has fleas they have likely bred and are infesting your house, so if you bath her it'll just start all over again.I have a 10 month old girl cat. how do i take her a bath. she has fleas?
Why don't you just take her to a groomer? Giving a cat a bath is such a pain and in my opinion it is worth the money to have it done for me!! Not that cats often need baths, but I do take my dog to the groomer because she doesn't like getting cleaned up (but she is a perfect angel with the groomer, go figure). Anyway, like someone said the best thing is to get the Frontline or Advantage... they are great products and work better than anything else. And they are very easy to use.I have a 10 month old girl cat. how do i take her a bath. she has fleas?
If she has never had a bath before she wont enjoy it and scratch you, so wear a pair of gloves and most importantly give her something to stand on while you give her a bath, like a big upside down bowl.
Cats like to dig their claws into stuff, so make sure you have a tub mat or a old towel in the bottom of the tub. Use warm water and talk soothingly to her. Place her in the tub of 3 in. of water. wet kitty down and put about 2 tablespoons of flea shampoo on her and scrub it in. Most flea shampoos want you to let it sit on her for 5 min. Drain tub and rinse the cat with fresh clean water. Dry well. She is gonna be mad for a while.
Baths are pretty useless for fleas. You need flea drops such as Advantage or frontline. Get it at your vet or on line stores.
is she has fleas the u could get that advantage stuff to kill them and keep them off. to make surestart getting her used to water with a spay bottle just dont spray her 2 much. it does work i did it with my cat and now she loves water.
With her being that age, I would recommend a thick pair of gloves and hold her by the nape of her neck (scruff her)under the faucet. Wash her, rinse her, then dry her. Or get frontline from your vet and apply it. You can use the pet wipes instead of bathing her if you use the Frontline.
    you could:

    1. take her to a grooming place for pets like at PetCo or something and let a preffesional do it

    OR...

    2. just have someone help you hold her down while you bathe her (just make sure you cut her claws first!!!)
I assume your take should say give. Use kitten flea shampoo and have a towel ready make sure there is no draft nearby and be prepared to work quickly use running warm water and go for it but be prepared because unless you have bathed her since she was very young she is going to fight you the whole time just think about what you have to do see how long the shampoo has to sit and you may want to clip her claws before you begin. Prevent this from happening again by treating your house for fleas paying special attention to where she likes to sleep and the carpets. Keep her indoors and a flea collar may help prevent re-infestation while the fleas in the environment are killed off. I don't recommend sprays with a cat that young because they may become poisoned when they lick it off. Good luck
Very carefully. Just restrain her by holding the scruff of her neck, and wash quickly. I would use a regular soap or citrus dishwashing detergent, and then put on Frontline or advantage once dry. Do not use a flea bath, and then another flea product such as a powder. The chemicals can be absorbed by the skin, and you would want to make sure you use one or the other. The best bet is Frontline from your vet.

How do you feel about 2 piece bathing suits for very young girls?

It's certainly not that important one way or the other but 3 of my closest friends and I have debated on this issue. I don't see anything wrong with it at all. I have an 8 month old, and my friends who oppose it have daughters ranging from 18 months -7 years old. Their biggest problem with it is that it is too tempting for dirty child molesters. I feel that in a public place a close eye should be kept on all children regardless of their sex even if they are wearing a snowsuit for God sakes. Is a one peice bathing suit less enticing for these dirty molesters? Am I just a bad mother for feeling that it's okay for small children to wear bikinis? I don't know why but this teeny tiny issue bothers me, what's your opinion? How do you feel about 2 piece bathing suits for very young girls?
Wow! Really? Geez..... I must be a terrible mom.

The last thing I think of when I buy clothes for my kids is what a child molester might think. Doesn't even enter my mind.

I think both suits are cute. I see nothing morally wrong with wearing a two piece. Although, I am slightly confused to how a little girl could look sleazy, sexy or skanky in anything. It's a little girl!! I agree with you completely. I find it weird that people would think a little girl in a bikini is unwholesome. My son has a Speedo and I really hope people don't think that is in some way dirty or provacative. Little kids are little kids regardless of child molesters. I like to let my little kid just be a little kid!How do you feel about 2 piece bathing suits for very young girls?
Personally it's a modesty issue for me. Little girls should dress like little girls, not sex objects. I don't have a daughter, I have a little boy, but should I be so blessed as to have a little girl at sometime in my life she will NOT be wearing revealing clothing, short short pants or skirts and definitely no bikini style suits for swimming. It's a matter of protecting their modesty and innocence. Dressing them up in things that make them look like little tiny sex objects- infants or older- IMO is not appropriate.
I personally don't like it and never have. Society seems to be in a rush these days to sexualize young girls and make them grow up way too early. Bikinis have always represented sexiness and flirtiness by showing lots of skin. How does that in any way look appropiate on a baby/toddler?

Just my opinion..everybody is entitled to their own opinion and yours doesn't make you a bad mother and neither does mine. Take care!
Cute full coverage two pieces are fine. I don't think string bikinis and thong bottoms are appropriate. A couple of my friends really like them for their baby daughters because it's a lot easier to change a dirty swim diaper in them (b/c you only need to remove the bottom to get to the diaper rather than pulling off an entire one piece suit).
Morally I would have no issue with it at all. If your child was targeted by a pedophile it wouldn't matter what she was wearing. My only objection is that it is dangerous for an eight month old to be that exposed to the sun for more than about five minutes at a time. A full bodied sun proof suit is what she should be in as well as having sun-block applied often.
i see nothing wrong with it i think they are cute esp on small children but yes u need to keep an eye out but u should do that anyway i personally think that molesters should have to have some kind of symbol such as a tattoo (something permanent and noticeable) warning others they are a child molester and not be aloud were there are kids
I had to wear a one piece...for...hhmm...a long time, almost until I was 10! It taught me subconscious modesty, being aware of what I'm wearing. I am comfortable with my body, but sometimes when I'm in a bikini I feel uncomfortable now, and I think that's okay. We need to aware of how we look, and some people never learn that. I think a cute tankini would be...okay for your daughter to wear, but bikini's are taking it a bit far in my opinion. Hope this helps! God bless!
molesters dont care what little kids r wearing, they r just sick in the head

but it all depends on what you want them to wear when they r older. when i was little i was allowed to where two peices then at a certain age my parents said i had to be covered up and i was pissed and confused
I think it's worse for 12-17 year olds than a young child. I think it's cute on a baby, and I think it doesn't matter to the molester. They will grab a kid wearing a parka or a t shirt too, if the opportunity presents itself.

They are over focusing on small issues.
Honestly a child predator, is a child predator, no matter what the kid is wearing...

Babies are cute with their little bellies hangin out of their swimsuit. It's all a personal opinion. If you want to do it, then do it. If it were wrong, it'd be a law...

But, just my opinion and I'm sure you'll get others who disagree.
i always love my baby to look like a girly girl with anything she wears, but not too womanish. Two piece swim suit are the first thing i think of when i shop for her that's just the way iam. So if that's how you feel you kid should dress nobody else opinion matters. You know how you deal with your own kid.
little kids run around the beaches in just diapers sometimes.

. A little girl in a two piece may be cute, but have you priced those suits? Ridiculous. Most moms shop for suits at consignment stores..cheaper that way..and still cute.

    And for you older girls,

When you flaunt your body and then wonder why guys come on to you and make crude remarks, WHO do you think you were trying to impress...your girl friends? Save that for people who still believe in the tooth fairy.
I think there is nothing wrong with it! i bought my daughter (she's 2 months old) a really cite bikini from Old Navy, and I LOVE it!! I agree that you should always keep a really close eye on your children and keep them close by no matter where you are or what the situation is...
ask yourself why you would want to have your daughter to have that much of her body exposed? why did you want to wear a two piece when you first got one? tan lines? to look sexy? I am opposed (incase you didn't get that). you aren't a bad mother. lots of mothers don't see a problem with it.
As long as it's not too sleazy and or skimpy, it's not that bad. But it's still a pretty young age. I'd stick to one- pieces for the time being.
Wow a lot of different views. I don't see a problem with it. I have a one piece and a bikini for my baby girl.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with little girls wearing bikinis. My daughter wore a bikini at that age.

Get the chilld a bikini and u are not at all a bad mother.
i think it is wrong. Not only for moral reasons but i am pretty sure it is safer to have more skin covered in the sun
i think little girls look cute in 2 piece bathing suits... ure not a bad mommy every one has different opinions... it also depends on the type of 2 piece and age
Someone may have already said this, but two-pieces make it alot easier to use the bathroom hehe.
maximum coverage is best and lots of 2 piece suits offer this.
I think they are cute and more confortable when they have to go to the bathroom.
It should be okay, Unless its to revealing!
soon pets will have to be dressed too. We have to be care full about those zoolophiles
My daughter won't be in one.
I don't ';have a problem'; with two piece suits on little girls. In fact, on babies and potty trainers it's just a lot more convenient. I get more uncomfortable as the girl is approaching puberty and the teenage years. I definitely prefer the one piece on a 13-year old. Somehow it seems that letting her wear a two piece when she's 7 makes it impossible for me to ban it when she's 13; so, I don't know if I'll be letting my girls wear a two piece once they've moved up to a big kid pool.
Statistics show that most molested children know their molester. I do not think that putting your young child into a two piece swimming suit at the pool when you are with them increases your child's probability of being molested. Child molesters choose their victims for their vulnerability and helplessness not because of clothing they wear sending the wrong message. It is much more likely that ';Great Uncle Harry'; would be the molester than a stranger from the pool.

If you were talking about girls 13+ in very revealing bikinis sending the wrong message to boys their own age, etc then you would be getting a very different answer from me.

Bottom line is that children who are under close supervision in public places are rarely the target of any crime. It is usually when parents are not attentive that bad things happen. Put your child in whatever you want to but watch them like a hawk. The pool has a lot of dangers but I would not rank child molesters high on the list.

The poster who mentions sun exposure though has a very valid point. I assume you are always covering your child with sunscreen and covering them up when they have reached their maximum recommended exposure for the day.
My daughter is 4 and has her first two-piece this year. One is a tankini, and the other is a more-modest-than-not regular bikini with a sarong. I figure easy potty trips this year.

Previous years we did a one-piece, more because I listened to other people about bikini's being indecent on young kids. Now I wish I would have embraced them sooner. I think they are soooo cute on little ones.

As long as they are in no way sexy or grown up looking, what's it matter? How long will they be in it without a cover up anyway, really?

Sexual predators don't just prey on those in bikini's. If so, we'd have caught on by now.

I get the not wanting a molester to get pleasure from seeing a small child in a two-piece, but really... you're right. How IS it different than a one-piece (Unless I guess they have a belly or swim diaper fetish)? They are sickos either way, and I'd love to blast them all to h*** and back, but for some reason I manage to obey the laws against that.

    EDITED to add:

I would also feel differently if this were about a pre-teen or teenagers. I think then it runs a higher risk of ...misrepresentation... some girls do like to flaunt and send out the wrong message. But I think that's a child-to-child issue I think.

Also, about bikini's being ';sexy'; or whatnot on a little kid, I think it's in the beholder. I plumb think it's cute. Simple as that. For those that will be looking at my daughter and thinking ';sex object';, then don't look at her if you can't think decent things. A four year old (or nine year old, for that matter) is a young innocent kid. I personally could never see them in a bikini and think ';sexy'; in any way, shape, or form, it's not in my nature.
I think it is a little inappropriate. The purpose of a two-piece is to be flirty and sexy by showing off some skin, but for a child, it is a little gross. I just think our society is doing too much to sexualize kids. Besides, kids need to keep their skin covered from the sun. I don't think it makes any difference to a child molester. They just want small kids. The thing to keep in mind is that over 90% of the children who are sexually molested are victimized by a family member or close friend, not some random stranger at the beach or at the local pool.
i do not let my child wear a 2 peice bathing suit, even now and she is 12! she can wear a crop top and swim shorts though.

as for really young kids, i think a one peice, or shorts and top is more comfortable, why would a young child want to wear a 2 peice, do they even care.

Your not a bad mother, you just have a different perspective on this than your friends, and thats fine, its your child and whatever you choose is up to you. You are not enticing child molesters by her wearing this. I think child molesters would look at any kids wouldnt they, no matter what they are wearing. There is no wrong or right with this question, just different perspectives.

What kind of bathing suit would a brazilian or mexican guy like best on a canadian girl?

I need help with the color etc. Please replyWhat kind of bathing suit would a brazilian or mexican guy like best on a canadian girl?
Color would be the least important factor; choose what suits your skin type and your own preference. If you are very pale, stay away from pastels or whites. Brighter colors and patterns would work best.

Brazillian and Mexican men have very, VERY different standards.

Brazillian men and women are famous for wearing the skimpiest bikini's on the planet, no matter what their body looks like. If you were to wear a typical American bikini, you would look like a grandmother or a nun to him.

On the other hand, Mexican people are generally very conservative. Within Mexico, people from the cities and central Mexico are most conservative, while people from the coastal resort areas are more Americanized due to the tourist industry. What kind of bathing suit would a brazilian or mexican guy like best on a canadian girl?
I'm form Colombia so is kind of the middle between Mexico an Brazil.

in my opinion, since canadian girls are probably ';very'; white I'm gonna say Bikini, in one of the primary colors will do fine (red, blue, yellow). and since the girl is Canadian i would suggest a patriotic red one hehe.

Tankinis are sold in all the major stores and are very very acceptable in the teen world as well as the adult world.

The teens can get away with the shorties briefs which look really cute and are also a cover up but in a fashionable way.

And the bottom to go with it. But I'm not sure if this would be too much of a stretch...

    That might be better.

    Also, how's a monokini?

They're really cute. Cuter than tankinis and one-pieces.

Celebrity girl doesn't bath herself does anyone else think this is inappropriate and quitting life should be

considered.Celebrity girl doesn't bath herself does anyone else think this is inappropriate and quitting life should be
i doCelebrity girl doesn't bath herself does anyone else think this is inappropriate and quitting life should be
Wow, you think Celebrity girl is inappropriate you are the one who is. Who really cares if she does or NOT. It's her choice to do whatever. Besides how do you know, do you spy on her at home?????? You sound like a hater go somewhere else if you consider on hating and saying crap about people.
    No, not really.
Well, she could shower though, but not enough to quit her life.
I regret that I cannot answer you, for you act as if we should all know who is ';Celebrity girl,'; or some celebrity girl. What do you mean, ';quitting life should be considered?'; Life is sacred.

I think your question is vague and inappropriate. For shame! Show a little heart. Don't be a hater.
When you're a celebrity you really should be smelling squeaky clean all the time since a lot of people would be approaching you for an autograph or would want a picture taken with you.

People get turned-off by a not so pleasant smell. What could be her problem?
thats just wrong, you do not have to take a shower everyday but every second day is what is recommended, and yeah i would consider it.
There are way too many RUDE people as it is . Why would you want to exploit someones bathing routines for thousands of people to read anyway? I think suggesting that she quit life is VERY unappropriate.Seems as though you are young and probably immature.Ever heard of being nice? Stop Hatin!
I happen to like Celebrity Girl, and hope she hangs around for a long long time.
    wow, get over yourself.
    Not at all.
im not sure exactly what you are talking about but here goes....... everyone needs to shower thats just nasty if you dont and no one should quit life yes there are struggles but with faith hope and determination ppl can overcome their struggles it may be hard in the beggining but you cant give up
    reported
    Ok, talk about petty.
    inappropriate!!!!!!!!!!!!
