My 3 month old baby girls cries after her bath what can be wrong?

She loves to take baths and is very calm when bathing and when she was younger I would rub lotion on her and change her without any problem but about a month ago she cries so much after her bath she wont even take her bottle. On one occasion she cried so much she bursted a blood vessel in her eye...what could be wrong with her and what can I do to avoid this. She has made this a habit and does it every day. I took her to the pedi and she seems to think its colic but I dont think so...does anyone have any suggestions? My 3 month old baby girls cries after her bath what can be wrong?
she may just be like being in the water. Thats about the age my son was when he started screaming when i took him out of the bath. He stopped for about three months from 6-9 months of age and then he started up again. he is now 15 months old and everyday he screams when i take him out of the bath.My 3 month old baby girls cries after her bath what can be wrong?
It could just be that she likes her bath so much that she doesn't want to get out. It also might have to do with her being so much colder out of the bath. Maybe you could try to put her towel in the dryer to warm it up and put it in the bathroom a few seconds before she takes her bath. The towel should still be warm when she is finished.
Do you get water in her ears? Maybe she just really like tubby time? I don't see why she would only have colic after a bath...maybe she gets super cold after or something? Maybe the baby wash you use makes her skin hurt? Could be a bunch of stuff. See another doc if she doesn't stop in a few days.
Maybe she gets cold, try turning your heat up a couple of degrees at bath time. Also, you shouldn't be bathing a child that young every day their skin is much to sensitive. Another option is that it may be irritation.
She could have an allergy to the soap which happens and can happen with no visible rash.

I would try all natural soaps and if it continues would seek professional help.
she sounds cold. skip the lotion and see what happens.
i have the same problem with my 2 month old..shes fine until i take her out.. i leave her in for almost 20 min..basically until the water starts cooling off., or she shows strong signs of hunger... Shes fine until i lay her down to dress her then she wails... calms down after a while but the only thing i can think of is she just really enjoys her bath. i considered maybe colic but it doesnt make sense to happen only after her bath.

all i can think of is try another doctor for another opinion. until then just bathe her as long as possible and let her show you when she thinks shes done.
Is she really cold when she gets out of the bath?

If so, that could *possibly* cause her to cry.

If she's happy the rest of the time and only fussy after a bath, that doesn't sound like colic.

Are you sure she doesn't have an ear ache? (getting water in her ear would worsen the pain.)

or is she possibly getting water in her nose?

Is she getting soap (or water) in her eyes that makes them burn?

Maybe the baby wash is making her itch and she has no way of telling you?

There could be several reasons -- but I honestly don't think colic is one of them.
